In the era of Beast Taming, Ye Xuan with his superior Beast Editor, claims that he can turn even a snake into a Divine Dragon that soars across the nine heavens.

Hence, the little monkey he tamed became a Deific Ape. The little birds he raised became a ginormous roc. Collapse

This is very much a Gary Stu novel. Protagonist gets a late start on beast taming and then rockets in levels at a ridiculous rate. I mean the novel covered less than a school/university term so 3 months but he's already exploring space. There's the usual xenophobia - Xia is the best! (though instead of just foreigners he gets to hate on aliens too). He is annoyingly confident. Nothing goes wrong, all his plans work. The romance is juvenile. He almost always has people admiring him as soon as he does anything and NOBODY is suspicious of this guys insane levelling speed. The author forgets about half of his beasts, ignoring them entirely or mentioning them as being too low level but the character does nothing about this and focuses on only 3 of his beasts. He does a whole challenge to win a beast only to completely ignore it subsequently. It has no suspense, the character doesn't develop as a person (in fact I would say he regresses because he gets cocky and loses his initial prudence). And everyone else is the story is backdrop, people you think are going to become important later are never developed. The 'side characters' are basically his love interest who does level up. Someone who is fairly high level and is useful to him who is also mentioned as levelling up. But they seem very flat. Also author's blatant preference for 'white shirt, black skirt and black stockings' is fully on display poor love interest only has that and one other outfit, and that description is cut and pasted about her each time. On top of that the translation is poor with random dips towards awful (though not the worst I've seen). I've read it before and it had been a while so I thought I'd try it again and I just can't take it any more. I'm sorry to be so harsh but I'm being honest.

Idk if the translation is bad or what, almost half the beast name is so bad. I can't comprehend that strange beast name. Like wood, rock, thunder wings or whatever. Did the beast should be animal or what

Sigh, this left a lot to be desired in the end. I thought people were exaggerating when they said the end was rushed but instead it seems they were underestimating it! Ever since halfway it seemed the author wanted to end it quickly and rushed the everything possible. For example
. Crazy man, this is my second time reading through but I couldn’t finish the last 50 chapters anymore, just like when I first read through. I’ll just stop reading so I can still have a somewhat decent image of this novel. Still feel bad for all the forgotten beasts he has

Why do so many retarded authors write this way more than half chapters in and barely even gotten quarter of the cultivation realms in then what’s next from now speed run?? It’s just sad if authors can’t write don’t start writing at all too many light novel authors starting books and making them utter shit eventually

It's pretty bland with a just a hint of nationalism.

So first thing's first, it's okay. It's pretty boring to be honest, it's got nothing special going for it but it's got nothing too egregious going against it as well so your millage may vary. If you have nothing to read and DON'T have any expectations, then this could be worth a try.

The MC starts relatable but be warned, he just turns into the same asshole that populates most cultivation novels. The "caring hypocrite" type. Love your family and nation and whatnot then kill everyone else and pretend every murder you commit is justified. You've encountered this type before for sure so I won't provide examples to avoid spoilers.

And regarding nationalism, it's definitely not as bad as with other cn novels. It's still the same "us good, foreigners bad" story but it does make sense in the narrative sense so it's noticeable but not exactly bad. I find it somewhat similar to The Human Emperor where the MC is all about chinanumbahwan and everyone is only good as long as they are under Chinese rule BUT it made sense in the story since the guy is a Chinese general and because it was a warring period so basically, everyone was trying to kill everyone else so martial unity makes narrative sense.

Overall, it's not too long and it's not the worst you'll find so I guess at least give it a try.

Barely read 10 chapters and I quit.
Smart ass MC already spoiled all his major secrets to others just so that he could get a bit more benifits....might as well yell out to the world that u got a system too so that they would treat u more better.

I loved the story, the talents and beasts. Being able to have so many amazing talents was great and it could have been explored in more detail.
