From what I understand(untill chapter 44), Runes are like skills. They grow stronger with experience (killing monsters) and they have a cooldown each of them have their own energy capacity.

This capacity gets recharged over time.

You only need the capability of using runes, that is, you have drawn it in your consciousness and you can handle it's power. And they don't consume some unified energy like mana.

You can combine various runes to advance the rank as long as the combination works. You can have only 7 runes per rank.

You can add or remove runes as you require since their quality matters.

People generally have multiple variations(?) of the same rune so that they can use the other variations of the same rune if one of the variations run out of energy.

This novel seems pretty good based of other comments and desc ngl when I read the title I thought of The Villain Wants to Live dk if it would be similar or unique but hey Imma try it out later, anyone mind telling me more if it is good or bad?

This is good. 8+/10
Beginning is a little boring. But, it gets better after he returns to the academy and starts teaching. After that it is action packed with face slapping, training and teaching montage.
