Read this novel and please be patient, you won't be disappointed. Don't bother with the negative comments although they are also somewhat justified.

I've already written about this novel in the comment section before, you can read it if you want. What I want to say is that this novel is not bad, far from it. You can categorize this book in between 'Good' and 'Very Good' categories, that is to say, you can read this without the fear of your brain cells dying. Just look at the negative votes on the negative comments of this novel, that'll give you an idea.

Overall, I'd say it is a better executed, easier to read, and more fleshed out take on the genre staple.

A solid 4/5 so far. Brilliant opening act that sets the perspective of our mc. Basically we have the most talented guy, with the strongest family, best resources, best bloodlines, etc, but it's all useless since he can't cultivate and so will die young. All the initial characters and plot with the faith, shrine, and cultivation mechanics that aren't delved deep(they sorta remind me of martial world in some ways though) into yet wet the readers appetite, but we can't get any of that yet, we go through this frankly inconsequential family arc, tournament arc, and revenge arc that take away from readers interest. If I didn't believe the story was going to get much better I'd give it a 2.6/5 for it's few good things during that time, mainly the MC though he does act like a dumbass with his choices that border on hypocrisy sometimes but I like an intelligent mc that isn't depicted as a cold blooded sociopath. Still, if I don't get the shy waifu death guard I'll probably drop this!!

Brilliant opening act? This plot is used in most novels. Its overused and stale. Authors can do better when their main job is to imagine things.

I might be slightly retarded. But I stand by it, I like that even though he was unable to cultivate he wasn't stereotypically thrown out by his family and that became his motivation. This isn't something expected from a cultivation world, when most you read don't really have those strong family bonds. Also it was interesting to see the mc, who we have seen at the literal top of the world and just married his pretty interesting, (though that's about it so far) wife, just kill himself, we do understand it's for that sky god whatever but that wasn't even a guarantee, and he just got a artifact that can give him gentle energy so that he could live longer, though it doesn't state how much longer. This opening act also introduces a lot of stuff that isn't explained but once it's further into the story just their mention back at the beginning is enough for it's worth, since the author isn't going to be imagining things out of their ass. Sure there are things I can see it's taken inspiration from but it's a bit pessimistic to say it's overused and stale.

I'm guessing you haven't read Supreme Emperor... or like a dozen other similar stories. If the synopsis of your novel starts with 'the MC is suuuuuper OP with a crapload of incredible gifted powers he did nothing to work for' then you've already lost me.

I mean, yeah I haven't read those, but the difference here is immense, he can't even use those abilities. And even after he dies and reincarnates it's not like he does nothing to even he able to start getting stronger. Even once he starts his path it's still filled with him being on the verge of death.

Lol, you can't argue on your point really. There are literally tons of Chinese novels out there and if an author actually wrote one of this genre, there are bound to be similarities. To find a unique one is really hard tbh, unless you've read through everything single one of this genre, there will always be people saying "You haven't read ____ right?". So give it up. XD

Lol. My point is, whether the author did copy or not, the idea is already used. It doesn't matter if he did copy the idea or came up with it himself. It would be seen as a copy since it already existed.

Imagine if you come from another world to Earth, you spent years inventing a phone in the mountains without investigating whether it existed or not. Then once you succeeded, you tell people you invented a new invention, the phone, and it's even one with land-line cable. Would people believe you? No, they would ridicule you instead.

Was the inventor wrong that he invented the phone? No, he actually did invented the phone from nothing.

Were the people who ridicule him wrong in saying that the phone already existed? No, it did actually exist.

Point is, I'm not saying you're wrong. Just, there's no point in arguing. We won't know who is really right here.

    - A good story, with many slaps in the face , a sagacious and and smart mc
    - So far the world is relatively developed, writing is also good , secondary characters relatively developed .
    - Author passes well a drama and emotion at the beginning of the book and the awakening was interesting, has a mythology, history and interesting treasures in the book and a unique cultivation system .
    - The only part I didn't like very much was the tournament arc that I thought was filling (if you skip you won't miss anything) and boring
    - Revenge a little disappointing. But it's worth reading and it's a good book, good reading.
