"Nice to see you again, Guild Leader Leo," Elvis greeted while slightly bowing his head.
"Glad that you were able to safely sneak in here without anyone noticing," Leo greeted back.
"Well, it was all thanks to the help of King Elfin the Fourth and Queen Tina," Elvis replied.
"None of the Naughty Elves Organization would definitely be able to expect that the Elvis they saw in the Emerald City was actually something that they have created themselves, a mere clone, hahaha!" Leo said with a chuckle.
"Even if they were suspicious about it, they still won't be able to investigate anything. After all, that clone only serves one purpose: to appear and announce my presence in the Emerald City. After serving that purpose, the clone would immediately be killed and temporarily stored inside a Storage Ring," Elvis explained.
"As expected of Uncle Elfin," Leo nodded in agreement. The only way to prevent the discovery that the Elvis who appeared in the Emerald City was nothing but a mere clone is to simply kill the clone and store it inside a Storage Ring. It was similar to the method he proposed to everyone just now.
"I can't help but wonder if you are actually one of King Elfin the Fourth's sons due to your suggestion just now," Elvis expressed his thoughts.
"I reckon that you don't see any Elf's ears on both sides of my head," Leo pointed to his ears.
"What did you say?" Leo asked as he didn't quite hear what Elvis had muttered.
"Nothing," Elvis waved his hand.
"Okay…" Leo swore that he had heard Elvis saying something. The latter was just so silent that he wasn't able to listen to it.
"Anyways," Leo changed the topic. He continued, "Have you already finished exploring the secret pathway?"
Unbeknownst to everyone, Elvis had actually entered the secret pathway in advance. The reason for this was that King Elfin the Fourth had ordered Elvis to make a blueprint of the entire secret pathway.
Apparently, King Elfin the Fourth only knew of two pathways in the secret pathway.
One of those pathways leads towards the secret Portal room that connects the Emerald Tree Kingdom to the Evergreen Royal Family territory in the Battlefield of the War of Races. But unfortunately, ever since the previous war against the Naughty Elves Organization, this Portal room was never in use again due to some reason that Leo and Elvis weren't informed about. And the second one leads to the center of the Emerald Tree Kingdom, which is the safe place where they are evacuating everyone.
Initially, King Elfin the Fourth believed that there were only two pathways in the secret pathway underneath the Victory Arena. But later on, they started discovering more and more pathways leading into some still undiscovered places. So far, they have only finished exploring three pathways, which leads to three libraries containing various kinds of information. Surprisingly, those three libraries respectively contained books owned by King Elfin the First, King Elfin the Second, and King Elfin the Third.
After studying all books that the three libraries contained, the Evergreen Royal Family soon discovered a very shocking truth that prompted them to want to finish exploring all the paths hidden in the secret pathway.
And who else is the perfect person to do such a job aside from the great Elvis, who is not only an Information Dealer but also a talented Cartographer? Plus, Elvis also had some skills related to engineering and architecture since he could make blueprints.
With that being said, Elvis was secretly sent here to the Victory Arena a few days ago in advance to explore the secret pathway and make a blueprint of every place he discovered or was already found by the men of the Evergreen Royal Family in the past.
"Unfortunately, I am still not finished making the entire map of the secret pathway. Honestly, calling the secret pathway a maze is nothing but an understatement. It's more appropriate to call it a Labyrinth due to how complicated its structures are. Moreover, there are actually a few Magical Beasts and treasures in some of the rooms I have gone to. A pretty strange and unusual sight to see, if you ask me," Elvis was still wondering until now why such stuff appeared in those rooms.
Elvis continued, "Anyways, according to our calculation, in addition to the previous paths that the Evergreen Royal Family had already finished exploring and those paths that I have discovered in these past few days, we should be around ninety percent close to completion,"
"And from all the things we have discovered so far, I now believed that what King Elfin the Fourth had assumed before is true," Elvis said with a tone of excitement in his voice.
What Elvis meant about is somewhat similar to his previous assumption that the real Emerald Tree is hidden somewhere in secret that only the Evergreen Royal Family knew about the exact location.
Unfortunately, the current Evergreen Royal Family is also left completely oblivious of this information due to the sudden death of King Elfin the Third in the past. Fortunately, with the three libraries' discovery, they discovered some hidden clues that led them to answer their questions.
To sum up all the information in those three libraries, it states that the Emerald Tree that can be seen in the Emerald City is actually nothing but a mere branch of the main Emerald Tree. This means to say, the real Emerald Tree is located underground. And because this branch of the Emerald Tree was located near the Victory Arena, they concluded that one of those pathways in the secret pathway would lead them to the real Emerald Tree.
"That's really great!" Leo felt delighted at the discovery that Elvis had made. He patted the latter's shoulder and said, "So, what does Uncle Elfin plan on doing next?"
This was the main reason why Leo had ordered Elvis to report to him once they were close to completing their exploration in the secret pathway. He wants to know in advance so that the Mischievous Lion Guild can prepare beforehand.
Furthermore, and most importantly, which is something that he had thought just now, the discovery of the real Emerald Tree is also what would decide if they should remain to stay in the Emerald Tree Kingdom until the war is over or evacuate from this territory while there is still time and the territory is still not destroyed by the incoming Constellation-level Magical Beast.
In his opinion, the Doombringer won't be able to solve the problem concerning the Constellation-level Magical Beast that's currently on its way towards the Emerald Tree Kingdom. Instead, it should just be a mere tool to buy some time for them to search for the real Emerald Tree since he believes that it's the only thing that can solve this problem. Considering that a mere branch of the Emerald Tree can already prevent a Galaxy-level Magical Beast from approaching the Emerald Tree Kingdom, then there's no doubt that the real Emerald Tree would be able to prevent the Constellation-level Magical Beast from approaching the territory.
If they can't find the Emerald Tree in time, he would immediately order the Mischievous Lion Guild to evacuate from the Emerald Tree Kingdom. He would not care what everyone would say to him later on since, at the end of the day, their safety is the topmost important thing he should focus on and solve. After all, if they all die here, every territory in the Celestial World would undoubtedly have a similar Fate as the Emerald Tree Kingdom.
If one compared the weight of importance between the Emerald Tree Kingdom and Celestial World, the answer they would receive would be something pretty obvious already. Even without needing to look, the answer would always remain, and forever would be the Celestial World, since the latter involves everyone, while the former only affects the people living in the territory.
"While the Battle Royal was going on, a few hundred soldiers had already sneaked in the secret pathway to add more manpower to the people exploring the place. In my opinion, King Elfin the Fourth should be planning on doing everything, including sacrificing everyone, to find the main Emerald Tree," Elvis expressed his thoughts.
"Oh, then it seems like there's a big chance that we will stay in the Emerald Tree Kingdom until the end," Leo muttered.
"I believe so as well," Elvis also agrees with Leo.
"Since we are already done here, you can leave now and continue with your mission," Leo motioned his hand towards the path that Elvis took to arrive in this room.
"Farewell and take care of yourself, Guild Leader Leo," Elvis waved his hand before walking back to the place that he had entered from.
As soon as Elvis left, the secret door immediately closed, making it seem like nothing was wrong with the room.
