    This novel is good ofcourse, but godamn does it need an editor. I am sure it reads well in the original Chinese but what a f#ck fest this is in English translation... The prose has zero flow, changes tense randomly, and moves randomly between 1st and 3rd person. Lord of the Mysteries, deserves way better treatment and I wish someone re-translates both the 1st and the 2nd book in a way that the prose feels worth reading...

      First book??? I understand 2nd book translation, would've prefer if atlas studio translated it. 2nd book translation isnt the best, translator f#cked it up around the start with shakespearian wording but it eventually improved. Imo first book translation was neat quite perfect if i say so

      Imagine the exact opposite. I declare this novel the greatest thing I've ever seen, and I rave about how much I enjoyed all of its complexities. Would anyone dislike me if I recommended another novel after that? It's absurd that you can't even trash a book that you didn't enjoy. The 4.7/5 police are going to arrest you.
