Unlimited Power 2: The Ranger's Domain by ExSoldierLv99

Alright. So I read the entire novel, all 1006 chapters and here is my review. I'm going to tell what was bad and then what was good followed by my rating.

CONS
The pacing felt inconsistent. Sometimes it felt like a snooze fest where he is clearing dungeons and saying "Oh man I need to get stronger" for like 100 chapters and others it feels like he is getting stronger exponentially and killing gods/god level beings in just a couple hits.

The MC's personality and character development. Throughout most of the story Ryan is a complete asshole to everyone for no good reason other than to be "The cool and edgy lone wolf protagonist" and throughout the story he hardly gets better.

The length of the novel. Now this one is kinda obvious as I imagine it is incredibly difficult to make an interesting narrative for 1000 chapters and even then rush the ending slightly.

Okay now I'm going too move onto the good stuff.

PROS
The fight seems. Oooh the fight seems. Now it might seem hard to imagine but the fight seems throughout the whole novel are amazing and at the least very good. They somehow manage to stay fresh for 1000 chapters even with so many different characters and unique abilities.

Side characters. Some of the major side characters in this book are amazing like Femradiel, Merlin, Isis, and Loki. Good god they are so entertaining and they actually feel like real characters rather than just plot devices and some of them like Femradiel even have character development.

The story and plot. Now let me explain. The first like 200 chapters are amazing and exciting and keep you on the edge of your seat and then the quality suddenly drops. Now let me tell you that from chapters 300 to about 650 moderately boring and repetitive but still contains some fun so If you can make it through that it picks up again and starts to get really good. And at the end Ryan's character gets so much better.


Now let me talk about the elephant in the room. The whole being cucked by his best friend thing. In the story it is a relatively large plot point and the motivation for a lot of Ryan's actions, it doesn't really affect the main story all too much. All I'm going to tell you about it is that there are explanations for actions, regret for those actions from the members involved, forgiveness at some point, and no cliche revenge plot besides some casual antagonizing because it becomes so much of a non-issue compared to everything else.

So here is my out of ten review.


It's pretty good

Ok, this is where I drop. No one can have every single one of their weaknesses exposed both physically and mentally and not change a bit, the mc is inflexible and a hypocrite. He's shown growth only in stats and skills with no room for improvement elsewhere, this was his chance to grow in some form aside from a new bow and arrow. I can't sit through 200 more chapters just for the mc to say "I was an asshole" and kumbaya with everyone he has treated like shit, I mean for f#cks sake, he who is one of the few minuscule people that knows the power they hold is but a mere speck in front of even the pawns he can't even scratch continues to act like an idiot and preach logic to people and treat them as cowards when he who couldn't face his problems ran for the hills quite literally after he has by far the most terrible week in the normal world but blames other for being cowards in front of demons and dragons!?

Above is my comment on ch 189 and I haven't read past that but I think I will go through and skim through some chapters with interesting titles or titles that elude to how his relations with other characters just to see if he has any character growth, simply because if he does have some type of growth the novel will become at least somewhat enjoyable after reading near 200 ch of the mc's stale verbal abuse of every passing pedestrian. EVERYONE IS NOT BANGING YOUR FIANCE!!!

It is the same yet opposite of arcane path

The MC is a cuck who becomes more and more of a simp as the story goes on. The writing was mediocre and predictable, same as the combat.

He has no reason to have anything to do with his former best friend and his cheating ex fiance and he keeps saying he wants to work alone yet he keeps going back to help them while whining about it.

Perfectly sums up this crappy novel!

I read the arcane path to the end and also reading this nice starting plot but there are still many loopholes and the story gets always boring in the middle becoz author stretch it and add a lot of unnecessary things which makes u mad , I recommend him or her to change this habita......

Half way through novel ,I fel like I have become a machine, always the anticipation of when will mc mindset will change wil grow , otherwise just MC's dialogue's are just boring/irritating (I am getting affected)
Conclusion: good action,a bit slow paced

Read till 80 chaps and skimmed through till 200 chaps the mc is retard who cant make decisions and he litreally has personality disorder or something he says humans are a burden and troublesome but helps them by wasting his own money and time but doesnt want to become a leader then why help them . In the name of debt repayment he slaves away for 6 months by allying with the saviour plus the mc is antisocial and believes himself to be a loner but helps every desperate person he meets plus he forgives his used to be best friend who cked him and fked his fiance and even helps
them my god i have been waiting for him to take revenge but it never happaned if i have to give rating 2/5 and plus it is repititive as fk

He goes to dungeons meets humans helps them and farewell and moves away to next dungeon meets humans helps them and the same shit
