Got to Chapter 106. When it was just the MC being obsessed with reading and just reading, it was pretty decent. But his actual decision making and choices when unlocking elements, completing Quests and just all general game stuff just feels so bad.

He has made it clear that he's solely focused on the game for the library's everywhere, but he did play some games in the past - so he clearly has some basic knowledge. But a lot of the decisions he makes feel like things a complete noob would do tbh.

Some of the things make no logical sense either - he unlocks Poison and Fire magic, and are shown and told of him spamming them all multiple times for multiple days (10+), both against a guild that annoyed him as well as when killing monsters to level up - these include multiple AOE spells for each element. Yet somehow, a few chapters later, we are shown that he can cause explosions when igniting his Poison spells with the fire ones, and are supposed to believe that he never did this before.
This comes shortly before he accidentally kills some player stalking him due to one of his posion spells having an insanely large AOE. It just makes no sense at all that he hasn't even accidently triggered this effect before, despite spamming them both at the same time.

There are lots of examples of terminology being wrong in chapters that eventually get corrected - his class was originally called "Medusa's Descendant", then "Odin's Descendant" before finally being "Archmage's Descendant" which makes the most sense given what it is.

It also shows things in weird orders at times - like sometimes it shows something happening from MCs POV, then rewinds back to some other characters POV of the same event, mostly adding nothing.

The main reason I'm dropping it though, is that the actual game feels like it would be annoying to play. NPCs can, and do, change the criteria, rewards etc. for Quests all the time at their whim. Multiple times the reward either is a straight up lie, or gets delayed, or gets changed for no reason. We are told, and shown early on, that these changes can occur depending on how you treat the NPCs, but MC doesn't seem to treat any of them poorly, yet he is constantly having these issues.

I cannot comment on the novel, but the manhwa is particular. His drawing style is not the best but it is refreshing. The story is almost a cliche but it entertains you, it is like junk food. The mc is quiet, constant history and good development

Started reading out of boredom...stopped after 100+chapters cause of boredom...read remaining 90ch out of boredom/procrastination.(probs the longest time it has taken me to read 90+ chapters)..
Our mc spends most of his time getting stronger reading in the library, this means there's no endless chapters of the mc grinding/doing pointless quests to reach a higher level leaving on unique/plot armour quests ...This is a plus if you've read many novels based on gaming/vrmmorpg like me. However, this is the only good thing i can say for this novel.

There's no real story outside of the game for the mc. The funniest thing in nearly 200 chapters is about the mc spending most of his time reading books inside a game...this eventually gets old and stops being funny. Most exciting thing is him one-shotting ppl in PK which will also get old.

Basically read if you're still newish to webnovels but honestly there's better things out there to read.

Although I didn't read the novel I've read the manhwa it was pretty awesome and interesting to read. The character's personality and his traits were good. The story development was also good
