Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ji Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death and that the multiverse was a far larger place than he thought.

A lucky twist of fate meant that Ji Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater… and yet also smaller… than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ji Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ji Ning would make it his era. Collapse

I have read this a while back but i feel there is no good review here so i am writing it.
I would give this novel a 9.3/10. For me that is extremely high.

    World Building and Story:

The world building is done quite well and thought out. Minor

There was always something that kept me in suspense but it did not feel like the mc was thrown from one issue to the next. The story also did not feel linear. Meaning that it did not go from goal A to goal B. But sometimes something (not filler) happens between those goals.

The ending was in my opinion also not rushed and done quite well.

    Characters:

I never had the feeling characters did something out of a character. Characters that are important are fleshed out and characters that are not important are not overly talked about. Who cares about a the name of a fellow disciple mentioned only ones.

Character emotional development was not that present in the story. Or at least not what i remember the story for.

    Romance:

The romance in this story is totally not a focus. Like mentioned before emotional development was not that present in the story. Though it is also not a big negative in my opinion because what is shown is done well. Issue is not much is shown...

    Feeling:

I read novels while integrating myself as the mc. So if something bad happens to the mc i will feel bad. If some tragic happens but in the end its fixed then i will feel 'fixed'. So if something happens and the ending is a negative then for me it gives me a bad feeling and i rather not read the entire 99% of the novel that is good. I wouldn't write the review if it gave me a bad feeling in the end.

    What can you expect:

A novel with amazing world building and a story that fits very well in that world and never feels boring. Romance and emotional character development take a backseat and that is why its only 1400~ chapters but so much happens in this story that i am amazed its only 1400 chapters while its not too fast. In the end you feel it was worth reading this novel because you felt fulfilled.

I totally agree with you on everything you said and if I had to add one more thing to your comment it would be the cultivation and different concepts like karma and whatnot that made the novel so enjoyble for me also I loved how mc was actually passionate about the way of the sword and dao and never got out of the track on cultivation road unlike some other mc where mc takes whatever he sees and uses like yang kai (bugs, artifacts swords and spears)

It is a good novel. Some depressing stuff happened at the later parts but it turned out well in the end. I skimmed over those parts because I can not take angst

This is my opinion after reading:

    1. It is a medium-grade novel that is suitable for beginners.
    2. If you are an avid reader--who has read many good novels--don't waste your time, my friend! I dare not recommend it.
    3. This novel is entertaining for those who are approximately 12-16 years old (Well, this is debatable).
    4. If you are a man over 20 years old with broad insight, maturity of thinking/good logic, and critical of the concept of the world, then this is not your place.

Conclusion: It's not a great novel, but it's not a bad read either. Good or bad, depends on who reads it.

After reading many novels and being over 20, I dare say ai this point all I rrally need are novels without constant trouble, where the mc is pushed into one difficult situation after another.

I might be a fake cultivator is actually good.
Journey of fate destroying emperor is good to just wait until 20 or so chapters.
          Rise of the worm sovereign.
          darius supreme.
          The First Order.
          The sage who transcended Samsara.
          Pocket Hunting Dimension
          Fey Evolution Merchant
          Supremacy games
          Monster paradise.
These are ones I can remember of the top of my head.

If you can think of any, do tell me as well

It's a good novel, but around chapter 37 he'd gone so far, so fast, I felt like he had left everyone behind and it was basically an entirely new novel.
