That lonesome night as he lays dying in the hospital, fearing of death and desiring the taste of life, his mind became unprecedentedly complex with mixed emotions. Myasthenia gravis — an incurable disease where one’s muscle slowly degenerated until the day when one can no longer move and only tears may flow.

«Is this… dying?»

When he opened his eyes again, he had crossed over into the body of a two months old infant, right in the middle of an assassination attempt.

He was born as the illegitimate son of a noble. His name was Fan Xian; and with that name came the burden of deep political secrets and the legacy of his mother.

He understood; to survive, he needed unparalleled strength, money and political power.

To a new world with the luxury of a new life, so named; Celebrating the Remaining Life. Collapse

Classic Mao Ni novel. Those who like it will really love it. If you've read any Mao Ni novel then you will know what I'm talking about.
It has a lot of politics with wuxia setting but unlike grandmaster strategist and other such novels this one has a strong protagonist who can cultivate. If you've read Mao Ni then you must know that his fight scenes are unparalleled.
I remember reading this a few years ago. This novel will give you a feeling of peacefully sipping tea while listening to rain. I don't know what I'm saying but the feeling I remember when I see this novel is a strong nostalgia.
Veteran webnovel readers may like it.
I hope you give it a shot.

The commenter below is absolutely right. After arriving in the capital, this is a boring intrigue with zero dynamics. For the most part, this is really a romance novel, but the "action" tag is completely unnecessary here. For fans of strong heroes who destroy enemies in batches, I do not advise at all. This is not what I was looking for in the xianxia genre and is more suitable for girls than men.

can someone review this? I remember this author wrote Ze Tian Ji (way of choices) which is pretty much a master piece (even if it's not the most entertaining, that thing hits you in your existential gut without going the edgy, angst ridden route) so anyone finish this?

Story is well written, in a way. But you must have huge preference for story like this to like it. Problem is that after mc arrives at capital, story becomes ALL court intrigue, with quite a bit of just useless stuff that doesn't actually progress story.
Overall I read till 180, usually I stop reading because story becomes bad, accumulates plotholes and whatnot, but now it's simply because the story is boring and very slow. It also lacks direction, and cultivation stuff and martial arts is pretty much ignored, unless mc is fighting. Which would be fine, but beginning of the story was about quite a bit training, so author build up expectations of what story would be like but totally ignored it later.

Overall, it's kind of like Slice-of-life.
