What do you do when you wake up and find yourself inside the very game that you love? What do you do when you realize you that you have not only become an NPC — you have even been thrown back in time to before the game even launched!

What will happen when our protagonist’s two realities coincide?

Han Xiao was a professional power leveler before his transmigration. Using his past life’s knowledge, Han Xiao sweeps through the universe as he prepares for the arrival of the players. This is definitely not your typical transmigration novel. Collapse

    Absolutely amazing.

    20/10.

No fillers, perfectly explained plot, quick and descriptive action, and a lot of gun to top it all off.

Someone give this man a medal.

I would like to leave this comment for whoever like TLM and wants more from this author. He has started a new novel "Astral Apostle" and it has about 180 chapters. I must say Chocolion didn't disapoint at all. There is only one thing that I heavily "disagree" or am disatisfied with (And some minor things but they seem to be resolved in the future or maybe mtl isn't good at conveying the meaning of the author). I do hope a translator picks this at the future. To give a small synopsis to see if you are interested. The premise is similar to Fantasy Simulator with the world hopping but the author has evolved the whole concept in my opinion. The MC gets the ability to transfer his consciousness to other "planes" (universes). Thus far it is pretty similar and after this is where it diverges. The novel as mentioned before is called "Astral Apostle". The "astral" part is referred to an energy source related to transferring between planes. The "apostle" parts refers to the vessel of the MC's consciousness in the other planes. The caveat is that the MC can have multiple "apostles". He doesn't need to go through the whole life of a single apostle before he moves on. Nonetheless he still needs to fulfill some condintions. The amount of "apostles" active that he can have is limitted to "Eternal Apostles" +1. "Eternal Apostle" is one of the avatars that the MC has "cleared" ( as in the clearance of level). To achieve this clearance the MC needs to gather "information particles". He can gain them through three known methods. One is to influence the plane he has transfered into. The amount of particles depends on the scale of the influence. The second way is through achievements or killing certain individuals. The last way is through achieving the life goals of his apostle. An apostle has many differences compared to the characters from Fantasy Simulator. The only similarity is that they can both be customized to varying degrees. In "Astral Apostle" an apostle has a name , race , indentity , character , aspirations/life goals , attributes (physical --> any bodily related aspects , resistance --> defence of the body either physical or elemental , spirit --> this would be something akin to intelligence , like memory , thinking capabilities , etc and lastly energy --> this is self explanatory , though I should mention this attribute is one of the most complicated due to the various supers systems) , qualifications (as in the talent in a certain area like martial arts or affinity to something) , talents (special abilities that are usually passive or "false" active in the way they need certain conditions to be activated) and lastly auxilary systems (inventory , pet system , follower system , item identification system , level up system , etc). I should make a smal interjection related to the supers or extraordinary power systems. The author takes heavy inspiration from TLM but expands further upon it. If you like how "realistic" or extensive the supers system was in TLM , you will probably like this quite a lot (though we are still in the early early phase of the novel , even in chapter 180 you could consider this to be the equivalent of Han Xia being in the initial facility he woke up in). Now lets move on. The MC's "cheat" can "leveled up" with the cost of astral points and information particles. The level up provides the MC with better initial avatars and the potential to upgrade even more his eternal apostles. Depending on the level of the cheat the newly generated apostle has varying rarities. The rarity affects all the aforementioned aspects of the apostle as well as the limit of how many astral points can be invested on customization of the apostle. The mc can exchange astral points with free allocation points. These points can be used to increase attributes , upgrade qualifications , talents and is speculated to jumpstart a certain extraordinary power system before even "spawning". The auxilary functions need astral points to be "enabled" on a certain apostle. They need to be individually earned. This means that if apostle A has enable follower system , then apostle B can't enable the same system unless the MC has multiple copies or deactivates the system on the other apostle. On top of that depending on the rarity of apostle , the apostle can have more or less auxilary systems "enabled" at the same type. Certain auxilary systems can retain their progress. These systems can also be upgraded but so far it is quite difficult to do so. The qualifications of an individual can be color graded with no color as the lowest , white next , green , blue , purple and after this hasn't be revealed but maybe indigo or red . Also it's color except none and white have further sub-divisions depending on the shade. The lighter shade being worse and the darker being better. For example from lower to higher , light green -- > green --> dark green --> light blue and so on. The qualifications are of vital of importance regarding how far an apostle can develop in the related field. As long as his qualifications are high bottlenecks can be easily broken through and speed won't suffer. Eternal Apostles are really special and of vital importance even if they are of low rarity. The most important aspect of them is that they can "respawn" infinitely or transfer to other planes and they have almost infinite potential. When a normal apostle dies , the mc loses almost all the progress of said apostle. This is somewhat mitigated because he is given "inheritance" cards depending on the performance of the apostle. Even then the "inheritance" part gets really limited when an apostle has many and different skills. Also it is unknown if a supers system can be inherited. In a relatively difficult plane the mc could opt to accumulate skills through successive apostles. An eternal apostle doesn't have such limitations. He can be revived after a certain period of time and even be transfered to other planes. The MC could accumulate a whole organization worths of eternal apostles in order to develop the various planes. Lastly to most important part of an eternal apostle to the MC is that he can pay a price in astral points and information particles in order to inherit certain powers of said apostle. The MC will gain most of his powers this way. The biggest reason to do so is time. When he is in a different plane there is a big time difference that fluctuates a bit. For example the first plane he transfered to had a ratio of 1 day in the main world to ~1 month in the plane. Another aspect of the time gained is that the MC can pay varying amounts of astral points to increase his training efficiency. This comes to the order of dozens or hundreds time of efficiency (depends on the natives' capabilities). To speak a little about the MC's home plane which I will refer to as main world and his aspirations. The MC comes from a medium class family with 6 siblings (including him) and his father being a low-level official. In this era humanity has ushered in interstellar exploration and colonization. MC is living in a colonized planet. Supers are a "common" thing. People can either awaken on their own or use genetic medicine (usually to better their physique) or cultivate certain power systems (though you would need the required qualifications and or talent, like magic , classic eastern cultivation , etc) or through unique natural treasures. The main world on the surface is quite peaceful but if you want to learn on this I recommend reading the novel (it contains a lot of suprises). The MC at the start of the story has small goals that get progressively achieved and he slowly evolves from there. The world building thus far is amazing.

The problem I had with story thus far is about a female best friend of the MC. She awakens to a "powerfull" ability which allows her to produce shockwaves. Her ability is rated as SS. The rating is as follows from lowest to highest : E-->D-->C-->B-->A-->S-->SS-->SSS. The rating is concerns about two aspects. The capabilities of said ability like how destructive or helpfull it can be. It also pertains the potential of the ability. The humans decide the potential thus it isn't as rigid as in TLM where you had a game like system. Though through their accumulated knowledge , they rarely make mistakes. Due to the multitude of different supers systems , they have adopted a ranking system based on combat capabilities from level 1 up to level 7. I forgot to mention that attributes have a water shed every 40 points and in order to breakthrough that point you need accumulate 10% extra of the barrier. For example at the 40 mark you need to accumulate 4 points before breakthrough. At the 80 points mark you would need 8 points. Each breakthrough corresponds to a new tier and at each breakthrough for each attribute you can choose a passive related to the attribute. It is suspected that these bottlenecks reflect the level system of the main world. Before the 40 point mark being level 1 and after the being level 2 and etc. This though needs more clarification. Anyways back to that girl. She can somehow defeat the MC with her ability in a situation she shouldn't. She awakens approximately at the same time with the MC and they get the same period of time training with the resources of the supers academy they join. The difference is is that the MC is already level 2 despite "only" having rank C basic physique ability. She shouldn't have the time to increase her abilities in one months time despite being "talented". So it seems pretty dumb how she can exchange blows and react to the MC who has already reached level 2. Although I am bitter the MC lost (who wants for their "idol" to lose ?) , I would accept it if it made sense. Here ability is only related to shockwaves. How in the f#ck can she match his reaction speed and normal speed with her weak ass body ? It doesn't make sense. I could get her thoughts being able to keep up given her spirit attribute must be high due to her ability but physique attribute shouldn't be that high. Especially given she only had one month in the academy. She didn't even cultivate in a physique supers system which would explain her having a strong body. This was really sloppy from the author and I didn't expect it.

This unstructured flow of consciousness really hard to read. Do you know about "Enter" button?

I'm read about difference of astral apostille and fantasy simulator so i can say you just don't read enough fantasy simulator. TLM author don't evolved concept, he just put few thing on top.
Core function of fantasy simulator is world transfering and avatars creating. Choosing worlds, choosing avatars and so just novice tutorial, later in story mc using his system to create avatars in same world with real body or traveling with his real body, he also can make "eternal apostles" by default.
TLM author put restriction on full developed fantasy simulator and give skill sync without "unsummon" some of avatars. I can't say it's evolved but still very thoughtful.

Great journey. Completed this masterpiece in one go.(200×7) First 200 chaps i was skeptical how good it is .. Since most were comparing it to LOM but ...
Yes this is good. One of best novels i have read. Some are
    - Lord of mysteries
    - second coming of gluttony
    - Trash of Count's family
    - ISSTH ( I shall seal the heavens ) : most classic xianxia web novel.
-Against the god: A little bit of r rated scenes. But overall nice and mysterious plot. You will have harem here.
    -The will eternal
    -Apotheosis ( average )
.. etc etc i haven't kept track of stuff lately

Btw, seen lots of people hoping author makes a new novel, and well... He already is making one, still hasn't been translated, but mtl was decent. Anyway if you are interested, title is astral apostle.
Right now about 130 chapters afaik
Feels a bit like Fantasy Simulator tbh, but try it since I haven't read that much to give a concise review.

I am at chapter 530 rn and truthfully, i am bored... The galaxy is intresting and all but nothing f#cking happens, there are no twists, no intresting characters, no good villian, the MC is omnipotent he never faces setbacks... 500 chapters in and there is no hook, the power system is boring as well. At this point i am just skimming through chapters trying to understand why is this novel considered 1st tier... Can anybody for the love of God tell me when does this get good??

I know i am going to get downvoted a lot but please tell me why u like this novel oh so much first, i am genuinely looking for a reason to keep reading but can't find one

So the whole him being an NPC, the mystery of the world, the comedy, villains like esgod, ember, germinal org, and stuff you don't even know about is just nothing to you. I would like to think that not every story has to check every box like set backs and failure. I personally believe it would be dumb as f#ck if he ever just gave up, like a martial World situation,"oh I've failed guess I'll die" but "damn I can't give up" and comes back stronger. Is that what you want? If you even read this novel you would see plenty of setbacks and times he could've died. Maybe this novel isn't your taste if you're 500 chapters in and haven't liked it, which I doubt, you probably have liked it unless you give every novel 500 chapters as a test run. The legendary mechanic is packed full of fun stuff from front to back or in web novel terms chapter 1 to end.

I agree with some of your points like the basic premise is good and so is the comedy but for other stuff... No villain till chapter 500 has ever been a threat to the MC, on paper they were 'stronger' but not a single one of them was able to make MC sweat... as for setbacks, I feel like this just feels like MC taking a stroll in a park, every decision he makes is always correct no matter what, he knows everything that will happen and can be a threat to him, as for the things he doesn't know, they either won't be a threat to him or he will find out about them before they happen. For me what makes an MC 'smart' isn't how well they can scheme but rather how well they can deal with complications, HX never gets to the complication part or if he does, they are minor ones... I see this novel being called THE BEST novel on the site so I was really hyped when I read it, I even pushed myself to 500, and although it is not bad, i believe I was just expecting a bit too much when I saw all the hype

People need to stop comparing this to Lord of The Mysteries, this was the reason i was so hyped about reading Legendary Mechanic cause for me LOTM is undisputed NUMBER 1...

You just said what's on my mind. This novel is by no means bad, but everyone should know that comparison is a b*tch. If u compare this to those sh*tty cultivation novels, then this will seem like a God tier novel, on the other hand if u compare it the undisputed true God of novels Lotm, then it will feel like it's lacking a lot. Overall its a pretty good read but the hype is somewhat exaggerated.
