It amazing but I can't get into the author writing style

Just finished the book and I mean wow it was an absolute masterpiece. This was an amazing book probably even making it into my top 3 favorites. If you are looking for a new book I would suggest this one mainly because its not too long and it is a really great read.

Dropped the book at chapter 826, the reason is simple, it got boring...
From the very beginning, the book is not a masterpiece and is full of plot holes, and in principle, I would say it is not well-written, but if we discard many shortcomings, then there are also pluses and you can read, but after he broke the shackles of the pedigree, everything went awry, an arch about the world gods, this is just another way to pull the plot, weaken the MC and not for us readers to read where, after 700+ chapters, he finally became stronger and more significant in the world. If you want to read about magic, a bit of gloom, and ruthlessness, but at the same time quality is not very important to you (building the world / universe, character development, and secondary characters, developing the power system), then you can read this book, my rating is 700 + chapters 3.5/5, if the quality of work is important to you, then it may be a little difficult for you to read the book, I will write down the disadvantages and advantages in the book for me, whoever feels like it can read.
1) This is the construction of the world and the universe as a whole, it is terribly unrevealed, everything is covered in fog and how to read, you absolutely do not understand what kind of world and universe it is. Over 700 chapters, all we learn about the ancient world of magicians is
The presence of the south coast, and there it is divided into two factions, dark and light magicians, and the way these two factions do business, that's all.
The central continent is divided into 3 factions, such as warlocks, magicians, and the last faction, I don’t even remember what it is ... We don’t know what kind of forces are there, what else is on the central continent, resources, ruins, or some other strange places. Three factions are generally created for beauty, except for a small conflict between magicians and warlocks, nothing else happens there, they don’t normally reveal their relations to us at all, and their relationships, except for the names of a couple of characters, we don’t know anything at all about these factions and, in general, about the magicians of the central continent ...
The Twilight Zone, it is also known what races are there, but there is nothing more about the races, as well as about their interactions.
What else do we know? This is what the underworld is, with an unknown number of levels, and it appears on chapter 760+, the first level of the underworld, and there is also very little information about it, no resources, no factions, no interesting places / ruins / forests and etc.
What about other places in this world? Southern region, northern, western, eastern? Are they gone? There is only the central continent and that's it? This is all the information for 800+ chapters about the world in which all events take place...
The Universe, what have they revealed to us about it? The fact that there are other worlds there, and you can jump on them, and once they mentioned that there are regions in the universe, they mentioned only one region in which the world of purgatory is located and that’s it .. We don’t know anything else about the universe, what are there regions, what other worlds are there, how do they interact? Didn't the whole universe filled with powerful characters even think of alliances between worlds, trade between worlds? Make some measures the center of trade of a certain region, where different magicians and living beings will go for the sake of trade, war between regions for resources, etc. All this is nothing.
And so, in this book, the world and the universe are not thought out, and not disclosed.
2) Main character and secondary characters:
The protagonist is selfish, cunning, ruthless, intelligent, ambitious. But he has absolutely no personal growth of character and mentality, since he moved and began his journey as a magician, he was left with one worldview and judgments about people and values in general. Yes, he became more experienced and learned a lot, but his character didn't change, as if he was a monster who was reborn for 10,000+ years, he already understood people through their habits and mentality. What kind of person is shown to us at the beginning, that's what you will see after chapter 800, the difference will be only in strength and knowledge, and the mentality of the strong will be added, and that's all, there is just the same person who thoroughly sees how the world and living beings work ...
Reasonableness, we are not tired of reminding us of the reasonableness of magicians and our Leylin, but there is very little rationality, there really is something there, this is SELFISHNESS, magicians there act calmly on their emotions (greed is a good example for you), Leylin is the same, he is very selfish , therefore, when he sacrifices someone he knows or is innocent, the point is not rationality, but the fact that he does not feel anything for them, he feels good with them ... Even his family, mistresses, wife, children, they worth nothing in his eyes, he doesn't even want to spend a few months of his time to help them become stronger... and there are all such wizards, so yes, I didn't see the share of reasonableness that I would like, but I was pleased see selfishness.
Secondary characters, there is little to say here, they simply do not exist, characters appear either to become a stepping stone, or to become a subordinate or lover, little will be known about them, and they will simply be forgotten, as if they were added to the story on a whim, and on a whim they have been removed. The plot revolves entirely around Leylin.
3) The system of power, except for the system of gods and the world of magicians, little was revealed to us, although I am sure that there would be a lot of interesting systems in the universe, it’s a pity the author is too lazy to think about everything and write ... Leylin himself mainly relies on skills from pedigree, and the Black Fire skill up to rank 4. Whether it's at the beginning or at the end, he has very few magic skills, which is disappointing.
In addition, there are many plot holes in the book, we basically see them throughout the development of the plot. I won't describe them, it's too long, but if you read the book, be prepared for what the author said in this chapter does not necessarily apply in the next chapter. The author also likes to first put it on a pedestal, and then drop it down, this was especially evident for rank 4 magicians, at first they told us how powerful they are, they cannot be provoked, even rank 5 will not do it without the need, and then they show us that he's just ants, rank 5 doesn't even see them as someone significant...
Of course, there are some good points in the book - his bloodline is a snake, it was something new and refreshing, because usually when it comes to bloodlines, in China it will always be either a dragon or a phoenix ... And these mythical beasts have already tired me . The snake was something new and interesting, the bloodline skills are also interesting and I liked it, his further development of the bloodline is very good, and I like what it will come out in the future.
Magic skills are also to my liking, based on darkness and fire, but it's a pity that there were very few of them.
Leylin's character, as I wrote above, is very selfish, but it's much better than reading a innocent or kind protagonist, he's also not stupid, it's nice to read how he uses others to achieve his goals (the exception is his lovers), in general his character than something like Fang Yuan.
Hmm .. I think there were other good qualities in the book, but they are not so conspicuous, yet for me the most important thing is the development of the plot, the disclosure of the world / universe, as well as the disclosure of the main character and secondary characters, in this the author failed , and therefore, even if there are good moments yet, they fade a lot. But as I said earlier, everyone has their own taste for books, if you don’t find fault with quality, then you can read it, the book is not bad in principle, at least the first 700+ chapters, if quality is very important to you, but it may not be yours bowl. For me personally, after 700+, the book becomes boring.

The author continues to say that magi are rational and cold but yet hasn’t shown any actual rational characters.

It’s basically a worse version of birth of the demonic sword. And Reverend insanity is in a different level

There's this story where the mc wakes up in a deserted place after being unconscious (we come to know of the mc being saved by his mentor while they were attacked "I think it was in a prison")..the mc travels looking for a habitable place till he finds a farm infected by pests.. a certain villager thinks the mc wants to further ruin there farm to decrease there yields but the mc refutes the notion saying that instead he can help them kill the pests..the villager his happy and go consult with the village elder who in turns out to be enthusiastic, the mc (who is an array smith /rune smith whatever its called in the book) then proceeds to draw an array/rune which helps eliminating the pests after some time..the mc is taken to the village as an honoured guest..the mc hunts in the village and soon we see him meet a strong young girl in the forest who is in danger from a "barbarian" unfortunately helps come accidentally from a young man( from a large sect who offers him help)..the mc soon lives with the young girl at the village but after some time they decide to leave the village to a big town searching for an academy..soon the mc reaches the town while taking place in the academy competitions he start selling swords,sabers imbued with runes which seem to be much better than others on the same level.. the mc makes enemies with young masters and during the end of the competition he is treated unfairly by the judges but soon he rescued by a power house who came looking for the young girl..the mc learns of his true origins and how his father was massecerd and also how his talent was snatched by someone when he was still young..the mc makes a journey to his real roots but we see a certain family trying to hinder journey he forced to massacre his way.. when the mc reaches his destination he finds that his family has since fallen and are divided into three groups who are all enemies..the mc plans to reunite the family but we see him facing slot of difficulties..
Can someone help me find this masterpiece

Not Terrible, but super slow at times. Like you could skip 100 chapters and not miss much kinda slow. Overly descriptive of things as every 10 or so chapters seems like a copy/paste.
Does some side char arcs that at 100% useless and are straight fillers. Could probably reduce the 1200 chapters to like 200 if you get rid of the bloat/filler.
